Our staff participated the design of this stadium complex.
The complex covers about 80 hectares in Bukit Jalil, one of four new growth areas destined to become modern Malaysian centers.
The design of the National Stadium combines national and international trends in architecture with state-of-the-art facilities;
it is the largest of the complex's planned facilities with a seating capacity of almost 100,000.
The RM65 million roof spreads over a massive 38,000 sq. meters, 48 meters above ground.
This according to the Malaysian Book of Records is the largest stadium roof in Malaysia.
The roof is also significant because of the use of an advanced membrane stretched across steel compression rings,
arches and cables, without any support in the middle.
