KIKOMUN BRIDGE, BC   Highway Bridges and Related Structures

  PROJECT
KIKOMUN BRIDGE, British Columbia - 2005
  DESCRIPTION
Developed the innovative technology which allowed a crew of 8 men to replace completely the 200 m bridge in 20 days only.
The old steel structure had been rigidly connected to the new one and gradually pulled out with 35t winch through special intermediate frame.
Both vertical alignment of new bridge and elevation of existing structure up and off its bearing supports and rollers had been provided by hydraulic jacks.
Thus the new bridge girder system has been installed simultaneously with removal of the old structure.
